Andrew Scott, Sunrunner’s General Manager, was quite frank about the design. Quite simply Sunrunner wanted to build an entry level boat for their existing range that appealed to a broad cross section of people while keeping it simple and stylish at the same time and there is no doubt that this has easily been achieved.
I think Australian manufacturers that are planning to compete against the 2800 Sunrunner, will have to develop a very special package because undoubtedly this vessel is the essence of Leonardo Da Vinci’s ultimate sophistication.
It was in 2002 when Sunrunner burst onto the boating scene with the magnificent 3700, which won the AMIF Boat of the Year Award, and undeniably a lot has been achieve since then with a burgeoning export order book and new dealers throughout Australia. And with their latest addition to their range I am fairly confident in saying that they have done it again with as the Sunrunner 2800 is a strong contender in this year’s AMIF Boat of the Year Award.
